Heavy Seas Alehouse!

We went to the grand opening of Rosslyn’s Heavy Seas Alehouse, with fine Baltimore craft beer and notable cuisine. It opened officially yesterday. We snapped its crew, Joe Abernethy, Susan VerStraten, and Lloyd Robbins.

For Heavy Seas’ menu, exec chef Matt Seeber highlights locally sourced food such as oysters, soft pretzels with crab, grilled sausage sliders, chicory salad, mussels in a broth of Heavy Seas Gold Ale, and braised rabbit fettuccine. He’s with chef Mark Kennedy, and GM Keith Kirkland, and partner Vince Cassino.

Draft beers include the Loose Cannon American Hop IPA, Heavy Seas Gold, and Cutlass Amber; There are also beer cocktails such as Any Port in the Storm (Gosling's Black Seal Rum, ginger syrup, lime juice and Gold Ale).
