Excellence in Education!
We went to the National Building Museum for the NEA Foundation’s Salute to Excellence in Education Gala honoring the nation’s top educators. We snapped California Casualty's Doug Goldberg, Lisa Almeida, and George Shapcott flanking NEA's Laura Gross and Arizona Education Association's Nidia Lias and Andrew Morrill.
Guests sipped beer and wine while enjoying Peking duck straws, falafel shrimp, and beef vindaloo samosas. Here, Hawaii State Teachers Association's Wil Okabe talked us into taking a trip to Hawaii (which wasn’t that hard). He's with Indiana State Association's Teresa Meredith and ISA retired prez Nate Schnellenberger.
