Sing-A-Long Fuels Kelley Drye's Holidays

Kelley Drye held its annual holiday chorale reception in its 3050 K St office (one of a number of firm get-togethers including touring the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin each year and watching WWII-era planes fly over the Potomac from the balcony). The concert included "Sing Noel," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The Dreidel Song," and solos by recruiting coordinator Arianna Zell and administrative assistant Alicia Hunter.

Kelley Drye firm managing partner Lew Rose presented administrative assistant Alicia Hunter—with whom he's worked for more than 20 years—with the 2015 Gail Cook Award. It was created in memory of late receptionist Gail Cook, whose "enthusiasm and dedication to the firm was unsurpassed."

Lew, who was named to head the firm this year after two years as DC managing partner, was proud to share that advertising practice group leader Christie Thompson was named Advertising Law Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers. The firm’s national advertising and marketing practice has been busy keeping up with the latest developments in the Telephone Consumer Protection Act space and continues to defend clients in lawsuits involving the TCPA and other telemarketing-related statutes. (If you're a TCPA buff, check out the firm's TCPA Tracker.)

DC managing partner Kathy Cannon has been splitting her time between office MP duties and handling a large number of trade remedy cases against unfairly traded imports. The former chair of the firm's International Trade and Customs practice group, Kathy regularly appears before Commerce and the ITC in antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings, particularly against imports of steel products. Kathy will take a break over the holidays to spend time with her husband and two children.
