Law Firm Librarians Want to Help Bring in Money

Placeholder

As law firms evolve, firm librarians want to contribute more to business development, according to a Bloomberg Law survey of 80 librarians from firms of varying sizes. Of those surveyed, 65% already work on client development and retention, but a whopping 93% said they feel their library resources and training could be put to greater use. That's no surprise, considering answers to the following question: when librarians were asked whether those doing business development for the firm know how to properly use library resources to research prospective clients, only 18% answered "yes." 69% said "somewhat," and the rest said "no."
