DLA Piper brought 4,200 lawyers to the combination. DLA Piper global co-chair Roger Meltzer says that Canada has been "an integral part of our global strategy" for some time. Roger became the firm's global co-chairman alongside Sir Nigel Knowles, succeeding Tony Angel and Lee Miller, in a global leadership change-up effective January 2015
