Gov Uses Social Media for Jobs

NGA-Tim Enright Casual

When it comes to recruiting the millennial generation, federal agencies have a problem: theyre not reaching them through job fairs and newspaper ads. And they need to be reached since baby boomers are retiring. NGA.NET US Public Sector recently added a social media component to its talent acquisition and management software. Sales VP Tim Enright says most government jobs are posted to USAJobs.com but many millennials dont even know it exists.NGA.NET is using distribution tech to allow customers to blast out job notices on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. Users will be able to apply for gov jobs from LinkedIn, where half of millennials plan to job hunt.
