Kaiser Permanente Executive Wins Top Corporate Real Estate Award Following New Carrollton Deal
The Mid-Atlantic real estate head for Kaiser Permanente received the top honor Wednesday at CoreNet Mid-Atlantic's 2018 Awards of Excellence dinner after spearheading the healthcare company's major deal in New Carrollton.
Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Director of Facilities Lorena Gonzalez was given the Pinnacle Corporate Real Estate Leadership award. The company in April 2017 signed a 176K SF pre-lease at Urban Atlantic's New Carrollton development, breaking ground on the facility in October.

At Wednesday's awards ceremony, held at new Southwest D.C. concert venue The Anthem, CoreNet gave seven honors to top real estate professionals in the region.
The Corporate Real Estate Young Leadership award was given to Vox Media Director of Real Estate Steven Yates. Before joining Vox in 2016, Yates spent four years with OPower, including as operations manager from 2014 to 2016, during which time it signed a 63K SF lease in Arlington's Courthouse neighborhood.
