Boston Properties Puts East End Trophy on the Market

Boston Properties is looking for buyers for the trophy-class office building at 500 Eighth St NW. DTZ is marketing the 325k SF building, which is anchored by DLA Piper. The global law firm occupies roughly 73% of the 10-story building in a lease that will expire in 2022, the Washington Business Journal reports. It's just a block from Gallery Place Metro and close to the CityCenterDC project and Donald Trump's Old Post Office conversion. The building's second entrance at 505 Ninth St NW (pictured) is also branded for tenants like Heurich Gallery. This comes as Boston Properties is looking to unload properties that are either a challenge or in locations that are no longer strategic. [WBJ]
