Crystal Couture Show & Sale Returns To Crystal City

Placeholder

The area's largest pop-up shop and fashion show returned to Crystal City last week, bringing three days of fashion, shopping and entertainment. Hosted by the Crystal City Business Improvement District, in partnership with Vornado/Charles E. Smith, the ninth annual Crystal Couture Show & Sale arrived with more than 40 designers and boutiques, great deals, five-minute makeovers and professionally choreographed runway shows every 10 minutes.

Admission to the show, which annually transforms an underused or empty area into a high-end fashion event, and assembles scores of local boutiques and designers under one roof, is free. The combined fashion show and pop-up shop experience appeals to the shopaholic, casual browser and fashion lover.

DC-area fashion maven Maggy Francois led the production and curation of the runway shows, more than 60 in all. Francois works throughout the year to identify and train the region's top models for Crystal Couture and other high-profile fashion events. Fan favorite DJ Neekola dropped the beats while local celebrity MCs like radio and podcast personality Sarah Fraser, Paul Wharton of Paul Wharton Style, and Tommy McFly of 94.7 Fresh FM together kept the energy high between the runway shows.
