Bucket list: Kite boarding off southwest corner of Portugal.
Family: Married to Debee Yamamoto for 10 years; daughter (7), son (5).
Hobbies: Wakeboarding and speaking imperfect but enthusiastic Portuguese.
Startling fact: While living in Spain, made money playing jazz piano at local watering hole, La Carboneria.
