Two local contractors who worked on The Trump Organization's $200M redevelopment of the Old Post Office building say they are still waiting to be paid.

DC-based plumbing firm Joseph J. Magnolia Inc and Sterling, VA-based A&D Construction have both filed liens claiming unpaid bills of more than $3M combined, the Washington Post reports.

Magnolia worked on the hotel from September 2014 to December 2016, completing the plumbing, mechanical, HVAC and sewer work. The company claims it is still owed $2.98M. President John Magnolia tells the Post he voted for Trump and thinks he is just busy with transition matters, but he feared complications with the GSA lease arrangement could lead to an ownership change, so he wanted to file the lien to make sure he gets paid.

A&D Construction, a Hispanic-owned company, performed base and crown molding work in 2016 and says it is still owed about $80k. It worked for another contractor on the project and said it did not have a direct relationship with the Trump Org. [WaPo]
