The Wharf in Southwest is on quite the hot streak. Its most recent win: signing Hyatt House and Canopy by Hilton to dually occupy a two-part hotel building in Phase 1 of the $2B Hoffman-Madison Waterfront development. The extended-stay and lifestyle hotels will bring 238 and 175 keys, respectively, to the 300k SF building, GlobeSt reports. The two hotels will share ground-floor space and both sit on top of street-oriented retail. The newest occupants of the Wharf follow announcements of a 65k SF office lease for the American Psychiatric Association and a 278-room luxury InterContinental Hotel, owned by Carr City Centers. PN Hoffman CEO Monty Hoffman, the man with the vision behind The Wharf, also says he's negotiating a 500k SF office lease that could kick-start Phase 2 of the development. Hark, is that a change of address for a federal agency? [GS]
