Local Officials Christen New Whitman-Walker HQ

Whitman-Walker, the city's top LGBTQ health center, has opened its new facility just blocks from its Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center HQ. The new digs are located at 1525 14th St NW in a seven-floor, 43k SF building with 20 medical exam rooms, nine dental suites and an expanded pharmacy. "1525," as it will be called, will also continue to offer services like primary medical care, psychiatry, mental health and addiction counseling, legal services, and HIV counseling and testing, DCist reports. Streetscape Partners has agreed to redevelop the old HQ with input from the community. It may be used for Whitman-Walker's admin space or expanded programs. [DCist]
