One of the top PR firms for DC commercial real estate, Chase Communications, has just been acquired.

Levick, another DC-based communications company, acquired the firm for an undisclosed amount, the Washington Business Journal first reported.

Julie Chase, whom we photographed (left) at an event in May, launched the firm in 1997. The 10-person firm has offices in San Francisco and DC and has already joined Levick in its 40-person DC office at 1900 M St NW.

"After 19 years of this, they were kind of surprised," Chase said of her employees. "I think, with the integration, it's a really good fit and my team is happy to see more tools in our tool belt."

The firm retained all of its clients, which include Petrie Richardson Ventures, MRP Realty and the Southwest BID, and Chase is confident the move will help attract more business.

Levick, which has offices in New York, Chicago and Toronto, will take over Chase's San Francisco office. Chase told Bisnow she is looking to expand to new areas where some of the firm's clients do business, including Denver, Chicago and Texas.
