Bible Museums, Charter Schools: Must Be Permit Season

Among the most recent permits filed is the foundation for the $400M Museum of the Bible project. Most of the museum will be inside the former Washington Design Center, but a portion will be demolished and reconstructed. The interior of the former Buchanan School will also be demolished to prepare for its conversion to condos, the Washington Business Journal reports. Non-load-bearing walls, plumbing fixtures, sprinkler piping, mechanical systems, ductwork, interior plaster, dropped ceilings and light fixtures will all be removed. Here's a look at all of the permits filed:

400 Fourth St SW: Foundation for Museum of the Bible project
1935 Ninth St NW: A two-story commercial building constructed by JBG Cos. 1325 D St SE: Interior demolition of former Buchanan School 
1341 G St NW: Interior renovation of Venn Strategies offices on sixth floor
325 Seventh St NW: Interior renovation of 10th and 11th floor offices
2348 Market St NE: Three wall-mounted, illuminated Lowe's signs for its Dakota Crossing shops
769 Morton St NW: Interior renovation of single-family home
601 K St NW: Resurfaced and re-striped parking lot
