Walgreens Arrives in Chinatown

Walgreens openeda flagship store at 7th and H streets last week (we snapped the new spot on Friday). According to Juan Cameron of McCaffery Interests--which co-owns the property with Douglas Development-- the location totals 23k SF over three floors with "first-class finishes all the way." Juan adds that the partnership was in discussions with several retailers for the spot (including Nike before it landed in Georgetown). It will eventually be a 24-hour location, and the owners could be getting a liquor license, Juan says, where beer and "pricey wines" would be offered.
