View From Orange County

On Thursday we took this picture ofdowntown LAfrom the front of the Island Hotel inNewport Beach, which is47 miles away. And we took it with our pocket camera. It had rained the night before and some wind that morning blew the air crystal clear. So don't let them you can't see through the LA smog: We calculate the distance above is six miles further that seeing Camden Yards from the White House. And those mountains (including the Hollywood sign if you squint) are another 10 miles.

We were there to host our annualOrange CountyState of the Marketwhich is pretty good. Well, maybe not office so much, butindustrialandmultifamilyare going gangbusters. So isbagelconsumption.
