This Afternoon at Lunch

markkkkkk

At lunch this afternoon at Rasika, owner Ashok Bajaj told us his latest restaurant, NoPa, will soft open in two weeks and officially open May 8. It's an American brasserie, and the name comes from Ashok's attempting to coin a new term for the area, or at least his restaurant, north of Pennsylvania Ave. In NYC, such catchy monikers are commonplace: NoHo, NoLita, and NoMad. We have even attempted to popularize the term NoChe, for north of Chelsea. Do you have any other ideas for new terms to either simplify DC life or confuse everyone? Email chris.baird@bisnow.com
