CBRE Bolsters Workplace Strategy Team

AdamStoltz

Office spaces aren't simply a place to hang one's hat for eight hours anymore--firms have been forced to find ways to use them as efficiently as possible. That's why CBRE's DC office hired AECOM vet Adam Stoltz as managing director in its workplace strategy practice team. Adam (snapped this morning), who joined at the end of April, tells us, "It's hard to be out in the market without thinking about workplace strategy." Office environments don't just house employees but are tools to help firms achieve their goals and work more productively.

Adam says there's a big opportunity in DC for folks to get smart on the topic, especially for owners of older buildings. The prevalence of new, efficient buildings puts pressure on these owners to make their properties attractive to prospective tenants. And the building height issue in DC keeps things interesting too, as Adam tells us the inability to build up focuses owners (and tenants) on how to expand inside the space they already occupy.
