Warren Dahlstrom Tapped to Lead New DC Brookfield Financial Office

Warren Dahlstrom, the former president of Colliers International's investment services group, has been tapped by Brookfield Financial to lead its new DC office. Warren started his own firm, Dahlstrom Real Estate Advisors, in 2013 but is taking on the next challenge.

Brookfield is entering the DC capital markets space at a time when investment prices and volume is off the charts. The Toronto-based real estate company already has 14 other international offices for its new division as it diversifies its offerings (it also controls about $200B in real estate), CoStar Group reports.

Warren started his own firm, because, he told us in 2013, he missed the transaction side of the business. Now that he's running a fledgling office for a major company, he'll have the chance to build on the $600M-plus in deals his own firm has completed. [CoStar]
