Freed, Capital Developments Turn Dirt For Art Shoppe Project

Toronto Mixed-Use

Freed Developments and Capital Developments just broke ground on Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos, a mixed-use project on Yonge Street south of Eglinton with two lobbies designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Freed president Peter Freed is seen above right food-trucking at last week’s construction launch event with CFO Andrew Lepper. (Capital’s Todd Cowan is to his left.) Toronto’s fastest-selling project of 2015 and BILD’s 2016 Project of the Year, Art Shoppe includes a 28-storey tower on the site’s north side, stepping down to a 12-storey mid-rise with lofts. There’ll also be a linear park and two levels of retail (80k SF) along Yonge.
