1) JBG Smith, the dominant property owner in National Landing and the developer of Amazon HQ2, said it is optimistic about 2022, noting that large-scale developments such as National Landing have the Bethesda-based REIT well-positioned for growth. CEO Matt Kelly called National Landing the “best-located and fastest-growing urban/suburban submarket in the Washington Metro Area."

2) Atlanta-based Noble Investment Group plans to rebrand two hotels it acquired in Crystal City by adding “National Landing” to their names. Noble purchased the Hampton Inn & Suites Reagan National Airport and Hilton Garden Inn for $64.3M.

3) JBG Smith also filed plans to redevelop the shuttered Americana Hotel site along Route 1 in Crystal City. The proposed development will include 650 residential units above street-level retail.
