Building A Greener Campus: Bisnow's Higher Education And University Development Summit On July 25

College students are demanding their schools have a higher quality of campus life, from more walkable campuses and sustainable construction to more environmentally friendly meal options and eco-friendly transportation.

According to a student survey from Inside Higher Ed and College Pulse, 85% of college students believed it was somewhat important that their campus had a sustainability plan in place. One of the areas leading the pack to prioritize to better campus wellness and sustainability is Philadelphia, particularly local schools like Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Along with these new quality and sustainability demands, the National Multifamily Housing Council estimates that the student housing market will grow from a total of 8.5 million beds in 2020 to 9.2 million by 2031.

How can colleges continue to work toward building greener campuses with the growing demand? How are new student housing projects finding financing in the current climate? What new innovations are coming to campus life? Find out the answer to these questions and more at Bisnow’s Higher Education and University Development Summit on July 25 at the DoubleTree Hotel at 237 South Broad St. in Philadelphia.
