Santa Monica-based Broadway Capital Partners principals Jeff Jacobsen and Mike Malik tell us that creative office financings were a continued staple for the firm in 2015, with over $250M in real estate financings. Jeff and Mike note that while “creative office” has become a real estate buzzword, the tenant demand is real and lenders continue to aggressively pursue the asset class. Other notable transactions by the firm included sourcing non-recourse construction financing for several speculative ground-up development projects, as well as a leasehold financing to reposition a local senior living facility on a sub 35-year ground lease. Here are Jeff and Mike at their own creative office development on Seward Street in Hollywood; it’s slated for completion in Q1 2016. For more information on our Bisnow partner, click here.
