Targets Touch Down In Bay Area

The Bay Area is getting two mini Targets, known as TargetExpress stores--and more could open down the road, according to the retail giant. The locations, at the base of 225 Bush in S.F. (pictured) and 2187 Shattuck in Berkeley, will both debut in March. The two locations are part of a 15 store roll-out the company plans across the US this year. TargetExpress is the retailer’s newest and smallest format, at about 20k SF, and provides a quick-trip shopping experience for everything from baking supplies to select apparel items. This comes just after Target announced plans to depart the Canadian market.
