Crowdfunding Firms Expand S.F. Office Footprint

Some of the biggest crowdfunding platforms are moving into new spaces. The first, LA-based Realty Mogul, officially has its first S.F. digs. VP Brian Esquivel tells us his firm just moved into the 12th floor at 601 Montgomery. It's a sublease and the key was to be in the Financial District, he says. At this month's Capital Markets Extravaganza event at the Fairmont Hotel, he said his firm is the longest-standing crowdfunding company and has locked down 60 partnerships to date.

Meanwhile, its closest competitor (RealtyShares) is here in S.F. and on the prowl for more space. This year we stopped by the company's office at 425 Bush (pictured). Now the firm is close to locking down bigger digs with its sights set on SoMa, the company tells us.
