Report: Home Sales Drop in S.F., Rise in Bay Area

Placeholder

A new report from CoreLogic says San Francisco home sales are down, dropping 13.9% from a year ago in September.

The low sales for single-family homes and condos (which were down 5% from the previous month) came at the same time that the inventory on the market was up (17.9% higher).

Home sales for the entire Bay Area were down 3.4% from August, but 6.9% higher than a year ago. The median sales price was also up 8.3% at $650k. San Francisco's median sale price of nearly $1.1M was up 16.7% from a year ago, keeping home prices unaffordable for many. [SS]
