Wood Partners will rebuild the 196-unit Alta Waverly project in Oakland that was destroyed by a fire on July 7. The project at 2302 Valdez St. will open during the first quarter of 2019, the San Francisco Business Times reports. The expected delivery is a year after its original projection. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has completed its investigation of the scene, but findings have not yet been released.

The developer also has filed building permits for a seven-story building at 1518 Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Jakon Investments originally won approval for the 140-unit project, but Wood Partners has since acquired it, according to the San Francisco Business Times.

Construction also started across the street from the fire at Trammell Crow Residential’s 234-unit Alexan Webster.
