Time Clock Running Out For Raiders

If Oakland and Alameda County want to keep the Oakland Raiders in the East Bay, they better figure it out fast. City and county officials are expected by Friday to submit their questions about a multibillion-dollar plan for the Coliseum City development that was turned in last month by Floyd Kephart and his New City Development LLC. Then Kephart has 15 business days to respond. But Oakland City Council typically recesses in August, reports the San Francisco Business Times. Both the Raiders and San Diego Chargers have expressed interest in remaining in their current homes, and the leading candidate for bringing football back to LA is Stan Kroenke with his plans for a massive venue in Inglewood.
