Clark Pacific’s projects attract a lot of sports fans. The company won a competitive bid to furnish precast concrete for the new 49ers stadium in Santa Clara, adding the project to previous work like the San Jose Sharks’ Shark Tank, San Jose State’s Spartan Stadium, and Stanford’s Angell Field. Today we chatted with Clark Pacific’s Don Clark, the company’s co-owner (with his brother, Bob) who tells us they’ll manufacture and install over 2,000 precast components weighing more than 20,000 tons. “We’re going to be casting panels by May and installing panels by September, which is a very fast schedule for a job of this size and complexity.” The $1.2B, 68,500-seat design-assist project is a JV of Turner and Devcon with architect HNTB. When they’re not messing around with concrete, Don and Bob, along with some friends, own a winery, Elevation 10, which just opened a tasting room. It's in Clarksburg (no relation to Don and Bob, however).
