Clarion's Pink to be Panelist at Future of SoMa

DSC03351

South of Market is one of the country's hottest office markets, and we've put together a great program, The Future of SoMa, April 18 at The Fairmont San Francisco (sign up here). Our all-star panel will include Clarion Partners managing director Richard Pink, who just acquired 475 Brannan from Prudential for close to $148M. Constructed in 1906 (when milk was only a straw penny and President Roosevelt was bustin' the trusts), the four-story buildingboasts the cool, brick and timber look, large floorplates, and historic character that many techies are looking for today. It's fully leased to eight tenants. While Richard and Clarion Partners have a huge amount of confidence inSoMa, Clarion is not ignoring North of Market, having acquired 600 California from Beacon Properties for $180M and 343 Sansome, a 15-story, 256k SF building from the Interland Corp. The family business is growing, too: In the works are a new Pink's Hot Dogs at Raging Waters in San Dimas, and an expansion of Pink's at the Universal Studios theme park.
