A Chai Chat
We joined lawyer Kevin Crabtree for a4pm chai latte, one of the things he likes about the small-town feel of SF, where hes lived the last seven years. The Issaquah, Wa., native, who went to Occidental and Pepperdine law school (95), joined Cox, Castle & Nicholson 17 years ago, did his first 10 years in LA, but found lunch with a client there took three hours because of driving distances.Moving to SF has made it much easier for him to build relationships. At the 120-attorney firm (31 in SF), he reps capital providers and operators in all asset classes, doing things like negotiatingacquisitions, JVs, and complexfinancings. Hes alsoa big traveler (ask him about his adventures in Syria or Laos) and on occasion can be spotted riding to work on a Kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja sport bike (we believe thats a motorcycle).
