Two Of Wizer Block's Three Buildings Topped Out

Placeholder

Lake Oswego’s Wizer Block is on schedule to open at the end of next year, with crews celebrating the milestone of topping out the concrete on two of the three buildings on Friday. Block 137 will be home to 43k SF of retail space and 200 apartments. Now construction crews have finished pouring concrete for the two buildings, they stand at their full height and the project’s overall timeline is about half over, the Portland Tribune reports.

“Doing three buildings at once is definitely challenging,” journeyman concrete worker Travis Seymour told the Tribune. “Especially because each one is slightly different.” The crew is glad to be done with working concrete in the summer heat, but agrees it was a step up from the muddy process of excavation last fall.
