Legacy Emanuel Medical Center Plans 340k SF Expansion

Placeholder

Legacy Health is planning a replacement and expansion for its Legacy Emanuel Medical Center campus, which will be the first major project there since Randall Children’s Hospital opened in 2012. The plan calls for new surgical suites and other new space for the Legacy Oregon Burn Center, the Portland Business Journal reports, along with a four-level parking garage for 100 cars on the North Kerby Street lot.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2017 and should take about four years. New features at the 340k SF facility will include larger operating room suites with standardized equipment, a cardiovascular intensive care unit, seven cardiovascular cath lab suites, new MRIs, a larger central sterile processing unit, and new waiting areas.
