A recent study by real estate company Redfin ranked Philadelphia as the fourth most walkable city in America with a score of 78.3 out of 100.

New York predictably ranks as the most walkable city in the country with a score of 88.9, with San Francisco and Boston ranked second and third, respectively. Miami rounds out the top five, according to Philly.com.

Redfin's Walk Score is based on an address' relative proximity to necessities, recreation and shopping, among other factors. With steady growth in density predicted for the next several years, Philly could see rise further in the rankings. [Philly]
