A condo and apartment development in Fishtown was the target of an arson attempt Tuesday.

The multifamily project at 1834 Frankford Ave., which contains 24 condos and 17 apartments, is being developed by Ori Feibush's OCF Realty and nearing completion. Security cameras spotted the fire-starter at 7:30 a.m., and the small fire was under control by 8:30 with only minimal damage reported, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

In May, a row of four homes in Point Breeze built by Feibush burned to the ground in another arson attempt, for which a suspect has not yet been identified. The majority of Feibush and OCF's Philly activity is in Point Breeze, where he has been at the center of some controversy.

Feibush is converting a former elementary school to apartments in the area, against the protests of some neighbors who wanted a school reopened, and he has been engaged in a protracted legal battle with City Councilman Kenyatta Johnson over allegations that Johnson steered land sales away from Feibush and toward campaign contributors.
