On June 8, Pearl Properties will break ground on a 14-story Cambria Hotel and Suites at 219-225 South Broad St.

The address was most recently home to a shuttered parking garage (above), but when completed it will be a boutique, 222-room hotel with 2,500 SF of meeting space, a pool, a fitness center and a roof deck. There are 25 Cambria locations elsewhere in the country, and this one in Center City is one of 30 in development, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Cambria brand is owned by Choice Hotels International, which also owns Comfort Inn. This location will be managed by Concord Hospitaly Enterprises. [PBJ]
