PURELAND DEAL MARKS INDUSTRIAL PUSH

Things are starting to change for Pureland Group's Charlie Walters. And for the better. (Of the way things can change, "better" is definitely the option to choose.) In fact, Charlie tells us he just inked a 30k SF deal with a company at the massive Philly metro industrial park, further signs of market improvement.
Charlie was one of our panelists at this morning's BisnowPhiladelphia Industrial Summit at The Rittenhouse Hotel. Charlie told us and an audience of more than 200 CRE pros that, about 14 months ago, market activity began to pick up whereas before “there was very little activity of substance.” His firm did a build-to-suit for Schar USA and two spec MOBs at 20k SF each. With enough land for another million SF of product at Pureland, Charlie says he's seeing a few build-to-suit prospects out there. “We've been seeing a lot o f good activity all of the sudden,” he says, which should carry over into 2012. Although, it's not going to be any roaring train.
Here's the 30k SF deal: Design Assistance Corp's lease at 3 Killdeer Court in the massive industrial park. It's the latest deal that Charlie says is part of a new push in activity. Jackson Cross Partners'Jim Young brokered the deal for the tenant. We'll have more in-depth coverage of our event in next week's edition, so stay tuned!
