Bixby Land Co project manager Jeni Jackman (pictured with her husband, son and daughter) tells Bisnow the OC has a lot going for it, including sunshine, beaches and incredible temperatures that are all adding up to "perpetual growth" for the area.

She says office is slowing slightly as "we're finally seeing a bit of vacancy," but industrial remains hot.

Regulatory restrictions are a concern because "there are many latent projects ripe with significant potential" that are not coming to fruition "because of perceived risk and fear of getting caught in a nebulous cloud of required approvals," she says.

LT Global Investment is building the LT Platinum Center, with 400 residential units and a 200-key hotel, 218k SF of retail and 75k SF of office, in Anaheim.

LT Global Investment VP of acquisition and asset management Wei Huang tells Bisnow the project "marks the return of Anaheim’s Platinum Triangle vision."

It is also advantageous that the firm has the support of the City of Anaheim and the community, Wei says. In Orange County, Wei says mixed-use will continue to be a trend in the future.

Future growth in the OC will be discussed at Bisnow's Orange County Construction & Development: Major Projects Forum this Thursday at the Irvine Marriott.
