Last night we treated ourselves to an exclusive gals’ night out, an evening with Jodi Picoult at Arena Stage’s Mead Center for American Theater.
We snapped Jodi, the No. 1 New York Times bestselling author, with the host, Good Housekeeping magazine’s Jane Francisco, who kicked-off the night talking about writing, mothers and daughters, and Jodi’s new novel, Leaving Time.
400 guests attended the sold-out evening and met Jodi while she signed her new book, which everyone received. Here, National Geographic’s Bridget English and Jennifer Thornton bookend the night’s sponsor, Random House’s Theresa Zoro.
Fans and book lovers sipped on wine and enjoyed bites of Chesapeake crab cakes, zucchini onion flatbreads, honey pepper chicken, and a chocolate tasting while listening to the Palm Strings Quartet.
