WeLive and WeWork in Crystal City

Last year, WeWork announced plans to partner with Vornado to launch its first residential brand, WeLive, at 2221 S Clark St in Crystal City. Now they’re taking it a step further, combining the two brands under one roof. Washington Business Journal reports that Vornado has proposed altering plans for the 250-unit apartment project to set aside two floors for a new WeWork center. Now how’s that for a short commute?

The new plan calls for a roughly 25k SF WeWork center, 216 residential units, and nearly 5.9k SF of retail with plenty of cool amenities like a herb garden and an arcade. WeLive is an extension of WeWork’s co-working network that includes small efficiency units with common spaces for residents to share. [WBJ]
