GSA Picks Bethesda Buildings For NIH Consolidation

The GSA has finished its search for a consolidated home for several NIH offices after putting out a pre-solicitation in December.

The Health and Human Services agency will be concentrated at 6701 and 6705 Rockledge Drive, the Washington Business Journal reports.

Moving to these adjacent buildings, where the agency already occupies some space, will allow it to shrink its footprint roughly 155k SF by leaving offices in Bethesda and Rockville.

The GSA also was considering Prince George's County, a jurisdiction with relatively few federal leases that got a big win last week when the GSA announced plans to move the US Citizenship and Immigration services building. [WBJ]
