BlackRock Acquires Franklin Tower for $184M

BlackRock Realty Advisers has purchased the 12-story Franklin Tower office building in downtown DC for $183.9M from an affiliate of Shorenstein Realty Services. Located at 1401 Eye St NW, the 227k SF building is adjacent to Franklin Square and right next to the McPherson Square Metro Station. The sale was recorded on Friday to buyer 1401 Eye Holdings LLC, which shares an address with one of BlackRock’s NYC locations, the Washington Business Journal reports.
