Grunley Construction, a $400M Rockville-based general contractor, is making major changes to its leadership structure.
The company Thursday announced Chip Scott has been promoted to president. Scott has been with Grunley for 14 years and previously served as senior vice president of operations.
Ken Grunley will continue to serve as CEO of the family company, but is relinquishing the role of president to Scott.
"Over the years, Chip has demonstrated exceptional leadership, team-building, project management, client relations, strategic business development, and revenue and profit growth skills," Grunley said in a release.
The company also announced five other executive leadership changes Thursday. George Rusk has been promoted to senior vice president of preconstruction. Kenneth Terry was promoted to vice president of operations. Mark Laudo was promoted to vice president of preconstruction. Adam Grunley was named vice president of strategic development, and Tom Walker was named vice president of estimating.
Grunley is currently working on several D.C. developments, such as the addition of 34 condos to Capitol Hill's historic Frager's Hardware and the conversion of a Howard University dormitory into a 206-unit apartment building.
