Who needs the Olympics when the largest, multi-venue international sporting event kicks off in Northern Virginia today? The 2015 World Police & Fire Games, which go through July 5, feature 12,000 athletes from 70 countries who also hold down full-time jobs as law enforcement officers and career firefighters. The games, free and open to the public, range from badminton and bodybuilding to Judo and soccer.
