The buzzword in DC leasing may be efficiency, but out in suburban Maryland, it's another "E" word: expansion. BECO Management's Maryland portfolio signed 13 leases totaling 70k SF in the last 30 days, says leasing chief Roberta Liss (third from right). She tells us that some of the deals come from tenants winning new contracts and hiring more people, as well as some who "realize they need to expand for functionality or for a better environment to serve their clients." Roberta says shehasn't seen this much activity in her three years with the firm. She's with colleagues Michael Brodsky, Jeffrey Cohen, Kris Broder, Jim Lystad, and Kevin Lewis.
