President Donald Trump made five appointments to the General Services Administration, which the agency announced Friday, as the GSA's top two positions remain vacant.

Trump appointed P. Brennan Hart III, who most recently worked on Trump's presidential campaign, as associate administrator, Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. Hart will be the GSA's top liaison to Congress, other federal agencies and state and local governments.

For the White House liaison, Trump appointed Michael R. Downing, who was a member of the GSA transition team. Downey previously worked as deputy executive director of the Pennsylvania Republican Party.

Trump appointed Jeffrey A. Post as a policy advisor for the GSA's Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. Post previously served as a staff member on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

Corey E. Cooke was appointed to the position of senior advisor the the administrator for cyber and technology. Cooke also previously worked on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

The president also named Richard W. Beckler as the GSA's general counsel. Beckler was most recently a partner at Bracewell and has previously worked in the Department of Justice.

The GSA still does not have a permanent administrator or public buildings commissioner. Timothy Horne has served as acting administrator since the inauguration, and Norman Dong left the public buildings commissioner position in March.
