Reid Weppler VP, Vornado

Reid works on special projects, strategic relationships and “outside-the-box deals” for Vornado. He’s especially focused on Crystal City, where the company has been working on creating a tech hub. He worked on establishing the Crystal Tech Fund, a $50M venture fund for tech startups, with DC entrepreneur Paul Singh. Reid, who’s from Charlotte, NC, cut his teeth working as Vornado’s development manager at 800 17th St/PNC Place, which recently set a record for selling at $1,075/SF. He's here with his father, Tom Flynn, and his sons. Best lesson: Great cities and neighborhoods are about great people; bricks and sticks are the setting. Free time: Spent with two sons (ages 8 and 5), seeing live music and exercising.
