Property Management Prom

On Friday night, we stopped by Congressional County Club for the Institute of Real Estate Managers annual charity gala; we snapped the org's 2013 prez Beth Machen (second from left) of Machen Advisory Group in Charlotte. Beth tells us she's thrilled to be a part of celebrating IREM's 80th anniversary this year and that her main goal as president is to educate the property management industry "and make them the best they can be." Beth was joined by husband and MAG CFO Martin Machen, IREM CEO Russell Salzman, Cassidy Turley's Catherine Smolka and Dianne Twinam, and Foulger-Pratt's Rob Collins.

Enjoying Friday night's great weather was Brookfield's Veronica Jimenez, E&G Group's Melissa Steele, Orkin's Dan Seymour, and AlliedBarton's Tracy Seymour. The evening's proceeds went to Special Love, a nonprofit supporting children with cancer and their families.

CBRE's Stevynn Glass (with colleague Ed Jackson) helps manage Intelsat's current HQ in DC (3400 International Drive NW). He says there's been a lot of groups interested in leasing the iconic property, which Intelsat will vacate next year.

We couldn't resist snapping this of the 10th and 18th holes of Congressional's famed Blue Course, host of four major championships and the PGA Tour's AT&T National tournament. Don't worry--we didn't take the picture during the backswings of these two golfers.
