More on the Meritage Deal

Speaking of retail, we've got an update on our story from Tuesday on Meritage Properties' purchase of a Dupont Circle property: The Scarsdale, NY-based firm's Jo Rathbun tells us the purchase included not only 2122 P St (pictured), but another building down the street, 2029 P St (home of Panas Empanadas). Jo says Meritage, which owns other retail assets in the DC area, "enabled Meritage to re-enter the DC market with a boutique asset in a high-demand corridor." CBRE's Marc Rampulla repped seller Grosvenor Americas.
